On Sunday, I had the privilege of being involved in a presentation at the Richter Association for the Arts called Remembering the Danbury Fair.
Local historian Bill Devlin and myself gave the presentation to an enthusiastic crowd who shared their fond memories of the fair as well.
Bill presented the history of the fair and I performed my songs, Danbury Fair and Drivin' At The Racearena which both pay tribute to the days of the fair and the Racearena race track which was located on the fairgrounds.
The event was held to coincide with what was traditionally Fair Week. The Danbury Fair kicked off annually on Columbus Day weekend until it ended in 1981.
You can view some photos from the event on the Photos page here on the web site.
This Sunday, I will be performing at Rosy Tomorrows in Danbury, CT. The music gets underway at 6:00pm and I will be performing songs from my new CD, Danbury Days.
Details about the performance at Rosy's can be found on the Performances page.
My new CD, Danbury Days is proving to be quite popular. It has been selling well at gigs since it's release two weeks ago. Naturally, I will have copies available at Rosy's on Sunday. The CD and downloads are also available for sale here on the web site, but you can save money on shipping charges when you pick it up in person and I'll even autograph your copy for you!
Have a great week and I hope to see you at Rosy's!
