Hey there,
Last Friday night I performed at a new place for me called Marlowe's Lakefront Cafe in Brookfield, CT. The place has been through several incarnations over the years. One of the most popular (or infamous) was when it was known as The Regatta. I used to perform there and last Friday night, there were a number of people there from the old Regatta days. Things got off to kind of a slow start, but by the end of the night the party came to life and everyone had a great time. In particular, towards the end of the night there were a bunch of girls dancing who were unusually "fond" of each other and put on quite a show. I'll leave it at that.
Saturday night, I returned to El Mariachi's in New Milford, CT for kind of a short evening. With it being the night before Mother's Day, it was slow and I wrapped it up a little early. It's a bit of a challenge performing there because they locate me in a dark corner and I sometimes have trouble seeing what I'm doing! And there's the DJ... Thanks to Tom and Stephanie for coming by!
This weekend, I'm performing at a private event on Friday night and will return to Rosy Tomorrows in Danbury, CT on Sunday night. This will be my annual Mother's Day gig at Rosy's - one week late!
Details for all gigs are on the Performances page.
Once again, my music has been played on yet another Podcast. The Quiet Time Podcast (which is not really so quiet) from Wisconsin, played my tune, Too Much Time from the Cats and Cars and Presidents CD last week. You can listen to the show by visiting the On The Air page here on the web site.
It's looking like it's going to be a fun summer of gigs and I'm looking forward to it! I'll be updating the Performances page regularly. Come on out and join the fun!
Until next time...
Peace,
Dave
