To celebrate the online release of the Cats and Cars and Presidents CD, we are featuring the first song on the CD as a free download this month!

He's A Cat! is a fun, child-like folk song about Dave's cat Blackie as well as some of his friends' cats as well. The song was written with a little help from Dave's friends. The lyrics came about from a thread on Dave's web site titled, "Let's Write A Song." Somehow, the entries all dealt with people's pets and how wonderful they all were.  Dave took the entries, dressed them up a little, added some music and He's A Cat! was born!

Musically, it is a very simple song. The instrumentation includes just vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica and percussion.  And they're perfect for this tune!

The song has become a favorite and is often requested at Dave's LIVE performances.
