Summer slithered in

The heat caught us by surprise

The days were long and the nights were longer

But the nights were paradise

Feel the heavy moon

Hangin’ in the sky

And get intoxicated by the sweet summer scent

Floatin’ through the night

A nocturnal symphony

Sings out to me

Why not take a chance and find some romance

And make some history

Fire up the engine

And turn on the lights

And scream away into the darkness and glory

Of this hot summer night

It’s hot and getting hotter

This night is on fire

Can’t stop pushin’ onward

Gotta fill this desire

She sauntered by

She caught me by surprise

I never knew the power of a woman

Using only her eyes

Groovin’ to the juke box

In a roadside bar

She said have another drink and don’t even think

And just forget about who you are

It’s hot and getting hotter

This night is on fire

Gotta fill this desire

The night fuels the passion and fury

Wrestlin’ in the dark

Lovers undone, moving as one

Courting a spark
